Highdark Fantasy: Shadowsaga

What is this?

Highdark Fantasy: Shadowsaga is a work-in-progress hack of Mork Borg and a few other games that aims to provide a TTRPG that delivers an experience that scratches the "Soulslike" itch.

As a work in progress, the game will be undergoing several iterations and expansions.

As of June 22, 2024, currently there is no public PDF of the book. The game is currently going through its third round of playtesting, plus there is a lot of layout to do. Once things are settling, I'll release WIPs of the actual game.

The art I use is from the public domain, for now; I intend on making my own, which will take enough time that I would rather focus on it after getting the system settled!

Price

The game will be free.

System Compatibility

This game can use the Referee-facing material from other "OSR" games well, and any material made for it will be usable with other OSR systems, e.g. S&W, OSE, and the games HDFSS has used as influence.
